small but effective:
took this little guy out camping last weekend, and it worked great. it was much smaller than i thought it would be, the spade is about the size of my hand. it was perfect for hammering the tent stakes into the ground, and moving coals around in the firepit. you really can't beat the price for such a small, durable, and compact shovel.

gerber once again makes good stuff:
a little short for major digging but if you need a small shovel for like a camping trip are backpacking this works great very stable

Solid product:
I purchased a small folding trowel and a larger folding shovel. This falls into a size between them. Too small for serious digging but too large for delicate work. Very good quality and a welcome addition to my Amateur Geology equipment.

Handy sturdy shovel:
Excellent shovel for the price. I purchased a cheap one for winter car use. It isn't wise to save money and get cheap; broke 1st time, now I have spent more getting another. Well made little shovel and reasonable price for the quality. Highly recommend if you want a small shovel.

Best little shovel:
First of all this shovel is much smaller than I thought when I ordered it - it is definitely a mini. It is still much bigger and heavier than I prefer for backpacking but for regular camping trips and keeping in your vehicle for emergencies it is perfect. It folds down to almost the size of the spade since the handle extends and the hammer feature works great. And it is tough and solid like all Gerber products. I've used the cheap no-name folding shovels and they don't hold a candle to this little one. I will probably get one for each vehicle.
