This is one of the best brownie mixes I have ever used - gluten free or not! The chunks of chocolate are a nice addition in every bite. Delicious. They only lasted 1 day at my house!
The best brownies ever:
I was thoroughly surprised how good these brownies are. I added nuts which my family loves and melted chocolate chips on top. They are moist and a little chewy (again which my family loves). I love the fact that they use brown rice flour, red beet sugar and non-aluminum baking powder. And if you compare these brownies to other brands, they are lower in sugar. They are a big hit with family and friends.
The Very Best Brownies!!:
In my opinion, these are the BEST gluten free/dairy free brownies out there! They are so delicious you don't even think about the fact that they are not 'normal' brownies....my husband who usually doesn't eat any of my gluten free baking LOVES these as well! Definitely a good choice!
I couldn't believe it was vegan!:
DH is vegan, I'm not. But we both fell in love with these wonderful brownies. I'm only disappointed that they're not available direct from Amazon, as the other varieties are, which would make them less expensive and come with free shipping. But, I found them at Fred Meyer.
Awful:
Chalky and bland. I'm trying to be an ambassador for gluten-free foods, and this confirmed for a big group of people the myth that gluten-free means taste-free. Even the children at the party I took them to wouldn't eat them. I'll stick with Pamela's, Bob's, and scratch.
