I jumped at the chance to secure this one-of-a-kind replica without begging on eBay. Boy am I glad. This is a full-featured museum quality ship replica. Everything you could ask for (except maybe stairs?) is here in full movie-acurrate glory. You can inspect the full armamnet of Jack Sparrow's cursed ship or enjoy the beautiful embellishments near the front and rear. Unfurling the sails isn't something I want to attempt, it's not meant for it I think. Aside from that, if you're a fan of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean or just have a soft spot for old wooden ships, this fully-assembled replica is for you.

This is a terrific replica. They used two ships in the movie, one real one and one computer generated. The computer version has taller masts. This one was based on the actual vessel and has the shorter masts. And yes, it does scare me that I know that. It is very intricate, and is constructed almost entirely of wood, with some painted plastic parts for detail. If you've ever seen a vintage wood model ship that someone built, that's exactly what this looks like. The funny thing is that every pirate vessel in the movies and TV shows is based on a standard Spanish gallion, so every time one comes on screen you'll look over at this replica and smile. My three year old daughter points at the replica every time a ship comes on screen (like the one in Little Mermaid) and says "look Daddy, a pirate ship like ours." Priceless! I'm very happy with mine, and it was worth every cent. Double that, really. I'm surprised they are still available, so if you want one, don't wait.
