Lightweight and rugged, the all-aluminum stand measures a mere 5-1/2 feet out of the box and weighs in at just 38 pounds. However, when fully assembled, it can support boards up to 16 feet long and a full 400 pounds of weight. The key to its strength lies in the stand's retractable legs, which lock securely in place then tuck away when not in use, as well as its sliding cam-lock extensions, which provide a full 16 feet of length when assembled. A carrying handle makes the stand easy to transport when fully retracted. Just throw it in the back of your pickup and it's good to go. Assembly is quick and easy, too. Low Cost Assistant:
Sturdy, dependable and convenient all at a realistic price. I've been using the stand with my DeWalt mitre saw to construct a deck at my home. It's alarge deck wrapping around two sides of my house; 12' wide and totalling 48' in length. Just to make thing as difficult as possible for myself, I am using PVC decking (Treks Escape) in 16' and 20' lengths cut on the diagonal. It hasn't been boring! The biggist assist I've received has been from this stand. PVC decking has many pluses and two particular minuses: it's hard to cut and it sags extremely. As a result, the boards have to be supported during cutting - this stand has been a lifesaver! I could not have done this job solo without this saw stand but have had no problems with it. The stand is sturdy, lightweight and fold up nicely.

DEWALT DW723 Miter Saw Stand:
I purchased this stand to use with my DW715 miter saw, and love it. I am sure there are units out there that are heavier built, but this has done everything I have needed it to do, it is very lightweight for the features it has, and it is very easy to break down for transport. I purchased it from Amazon, and received it within three days. Overall, I really don't have anything bad to say about it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-built miter saw stand.

Buy it!:
If you have a DeWalt Miter Saw, or if your miter saw might fit on this workstation, you should purchase this wonderful back saving tool. Very sturdy, very easy to set up, very functional, if you can afford one of these, or even if you can barely afford it, buy it, your healthy back is worth more then a few hundred dollars.

A great accessory for my miter saw:
For my needs in a home woodshop, this stand is great! The stand came free with the 12" sliding compound miter saw on Amazon.com, so that was a great deal. It is solid and it's nice that the work supports are so easy to adjust. I agree with some of the other reviewers that this isn't the miter saw stand for a contractor/heavy use. I don't have any other miter saw stand to compare it to. For the money I spent on it (nothing!), I LOVE IT!
