Then they decided to celebrate the shop's 10th anniversary by sharing the secrets of their floral wizardry in the form of this luscious volume, which they have filled with enchanting creations. The rich photographs do justice to the designs, showcasing not only the arrangements but their well-chosen backdrops as well. And they provide more than merely visual evidence of their artistry; the two also discuss the composition principles behind each arrangement (including how to choose the perfect container) and explain the specifics of how to achieve the look, though they do presume a readership with some prior flower-arranging experience. Taking a seasonal approach, Brinon and Landri demonstrate what can be accomplished at each time of the year, from a romantic spring bouquet of lilacs and peonies or a summer centerpiece of enameled jugs filled with sunflowers, cornflowers, and santolina to a fall cluster of berries, rosehips, and dahlias, or a winter posy of dried hydrangeas topped with velvety white roses.
