Cracking good yarn!: The Fifth Agenda is Peter Clements first novel. Wisely Clements has written about things he obviously knows about but has added a nice conspiracy theory to keep things humming. The plot involves the threat of biological mayhem with intelligence agencies from several world powers competing to secure their countries best interests. Unlike some thrillers the plot is very plausible - did this really happen? I found the book easy to read, hard to put down actually - however Clements in my opinion overdid the 'big' words. Over all though it is a great read and a cracking good yarn.
Great Read: This is a great read. This high action international thriller is difficult to put down. It is convincing and tackles some very relevant scenarios being played out in the international scene today. It is very believeable and has been written well. I highly recommend it.
Could Have Been Good: The story in this book is a good one, but it is written in such a stilted and stiff way of writing that it turns out to be just plain boring. Perhaps the author should find something else to do besides writing books.
