I have 3 similar books and this one has served me the best.: Yes, as I said in the title I have two other "how to fix everything in the house" books (Black and Decker and Home Depot) and I have found this book to have more detail, more accurate advice and, in real world work around the house, the better resource for all topics. However, like the news, it is good to get your from multiple sources. So, if you want one book for this information or you want a collection, this book would be my first pick/recommendation. Sweating pipes, running electrical, fixing roofs, insulating, patching walls, working with mortar and cement... I, a real klutz, have done it all successfully thanks to this book!
This is an awesome guide to DIY stuff around your house: I loved this book. I did not know anything about how to fix things around the house and what tools to use etc. This book helped a lot in understanding types of jobs, what tools to use, time and process and materials required. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get his hands dirty doing some work around the house and dont know where to start.
