Wonderful illustrations and adorable story:
The illustrations in this book are just fabulous! They are intricate - the more you look, the more things you find. They carry story characters, even the smallest little characters (and there are several) from frame to frame, page to page. It is great fun to visually follow all of the characters through the story. Plus, the written story is wonderful. This is the kind of book that you buy for yourself but end up giving copies to family and friends, because you want THEM to enjoy the feeling of discovery that you felt when first viewing the book. This is one of the more uniquely written and illustrated board books you will ever see.

Supercat Saves The Day:
"Supercat" is an action-packed book solving common toddler/parent dilemmas in a comical and humorous way. Looking for blankie, the struggle to put on pajamas and unexplained crying are each situations parents are all too familiar with. Supercat will definately save your day. Supercat lives beyond the pages of this book. I apply his enthusiasm and creative tactics to my parenting style each day. Supercat's super tickle strategy is my favorite. We love the the jingle at the end and can't wait for the sequel.

Something Magical:
There is something magical about "Supercat". It appears to be a simple board book but the style, colors, and story speak directly to children. The artist and author have struck a perfect chord that children want to hear again and again. My children are captivated. Although I have memorized the book by rote, the beautiful details of the artwork keep each read enjoyable. As any parent will tell you, it isn't the first read that is important, but the 400th. The last page promises, " To be continued..." my children and I are waiting!

My daughter's favorite:
I bought 'Supercat' before my daughter was even born because it looked like a really cool book, and something that I'd like to read to her over and over. She's now almost a year old and it's by far her favorite book. When I tell her, "go pick out a book for Daddy to read" she'll almost always come back with this one (or 'Barnyard Dance' by Sandra Boynton). The story is great and she loves the illustrations. 100% recommended! P.S. Save your money and don't bother with the follow-up book, 'Supercat to the Rescue'. It's not nearly as good as the original.

My daughter's favorite book:
My 21-month daughter ADORES SuperCat. Not only is it a great book for her, it's one of the few board books we own that I actually enjoy myself. Why can't all children's books be so clever, well-written, and well-illustrated? I'll be buying the sequel.
